MEET THE TRAILBLAZERS FOR THEIR GENERATION YOUNG INNOVATOR AWARD FINALISTS

As part of the Indo Pacific 2025 Innovation Pitchfest and Awards, three outstanding finalists have been announced for the Young Innovator Award – a category that highlights emerging talent shaping the future of defence and industry.

These finalists will pitch their ideas live at Indo Pacific 2025, alongside finalists from the Innovation, Emerging Technology, and Blue Sky Thinking categories.

Meet the Young Innovator Finalists:

  • Alice Haddon, Chief Fluid Systems – Emergency Hose Replacement Kit
  • Joshua Wigley, Hyperion Systems – Containerised Robotic 3D Printing Cell
  • Leonidas Kapnias, Missile Technologies Pty Ltd – Maelstrom (Missile System)

Winners will be announced on Tuesday 4 November at ICC Sydney, the Young Innovator will be awarded $40,000 to progress their personal development and allow them to take the innovation to the next level of development.

These young innovators represent the bold ideas and technical creativity driving the next wave of defence capability. Their work reflects the spirit of innovation that the Pitchfest aims to foster across the Indo-Pacific region.
