The Sea Power Conference is the Royal Australian Navy’s intellectual centrepiece of Indo Pacific 2025. Across three days, leading Australian and international experts will explore critical themes shaping our maritime future under the banner:
Strength at Sea = Security and Prosperity at Home.
Day 1: The Maritime, Economic & National Security Nexus
Defence, business and academic leaders will examine Australia’s relationship with the sea, and its role in national, economic, and regional security.
Day 2: An Integrated Approach to Maritime Security
Discussions turn to education, recruitment, resilience, sustainment, diplomacy, littoral operations and strategic lessons. The winners of the Chief of Navy Essay Competition will also be announced.
Day 3: Undersea Warfare and Australia’s Strategic Geography
The program concludes with one of the most significant issues for our nation’s security: undersea warfare. Sessions will cover the history of Australian submarines, nuclear stewardship, the future of undersea capability, and the essential contribution of industry, education, technology and research.
