Colin Gunn, a highly experienced aviation executive and former ADF officer, will present a forward-looking concept for a joint Coast Guard initiative under the QUAD partnership (Australia, India, Japan, and the United States), as part of The Hub at Indo Pacific 2025.

With over 25 years in defence, government, and commercial aviation, Colin brings deep operational insight and strategic leadership to the discussion.

His presentation explores a shared Group 3 Uncrewed Aerial System (UAS) capability, designed to be operated interchangeably by each nation’s coast guard or equivalent agency. The concept aims to strengthen regional security through enhanced interoperability, intelligence sharing, and coordinated response across the Indo-Pacific.

Emphasizing dual-use technologies, Colin will highlight how UAS and AI-enabled systems can support both defence and civilian applications, including surveillance, emergency response, and infrastructure monitoring. The proposal reflects the QUAD’s commitment to flexible cooperation, technological synergy, and cost-effective force multiplication, aligned with recent summit declarations and regional strategic priorities.
